The art and history of Rajasthan is portrayed in the skills of its artisans, fragments of which can be seen in every piece one finds in the oldest stores and showrooms of the state. This further built the foundation upon which the threads of her designs are spun.
From The Founder
Hailing from the very roots of Rajasthan, Chandrika comes from an erstwhile family that embraces heritage and traditions in all its glory. Seeing her mother bejeweled in delicate ornaments was the beginning of a love story, between her and the world of trinkets.
Her knack for bijou led her to explore the nooks of the princely cities across Rajasthan, where she searched for notion and inspiration. Observing the arch domes and the architectural components, she perceived its resemblance with the chokers and kadhas that Rajasthani women-folk have adorned for centuries now. This struck a chord with her and born was the fable of CB. This further built the foundation upon which the threads of her designs are spun
About The Collection
Unveiling Jaya, an ode to victory. This collection delineates coming out victorious against all odds. Named after her mother, Chandrika pays homage to her very first muse, whom she learned the vitality of grace, fierceness and fortitude from.
At its core, Jaya features myriad dimensions of Rajasthani customs and its rawness. Inspiration has been drawn from multiple perspectives; Be it vintage pieces that were adorned by the beau-monde of Rajputana, old portraits of a princess, architectural elements or a warrior’s ornament. Haaslis, nail rings, jhoomar earrings among many other pieces are all designed in brass which symbolises purity, auspiciousness and traces us back to a rich history. Our karigars in Jaipur have cohesively embodied the spirit of tradition and artistry to spawn this collection, truly making it a labor of love.
